My Story

Hi, I'm Elise.

I’m a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, and I absolutely love working with children and helping them on their communication journey.

This can involve supporting children to learn new speech sounds, acquire their first words, build sentences, use Makaton, develop their interaction skills and so much more. Every child is different, and being part of their journey is a real privilege.

I believe parents and carers play the most important role in a child’s communication development. That’s why supporting you to become confident in helping your child is at the heart of everything I do.

My Background

I have a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from City, University of London.

Since 2021, I’ve worked as a children’s speech and language therapist for the NHS in East Kent – work I continue to do alongside my private practice.

During my NHS career, I’ve:

Set up the use of QR codes across East Kent NHS to help parents access useful information easily.
Helped run the Talking Walk-In service across Dover, where families can access NHS speech and language support.
Regularly taken on students.
Been recognised as a “Rising Star” across all East Kent NHS employees in 2024.
